I’ve been told my property will be ‘connected underground’. What does that mean?

< 1 min read

If you’re a new fibre customer you may hear us say you’re going to be connected “underground”.

Typically, we will follow any existing external route to your property. We will connect our fibre from the nearest existing BT (or other third party) chamber and connect to your property through the existing ducting (underground).

Occasionally, the existing ducting can be blocked or damaged, which may mean additional work is required before we can connect you.
