I already have Quickline Talk+
No Action Needed
You’re already using a digital phone service, so the changes to traditional landlines won’t affect your Quickline phone service.
I have Quickline broadband but still use a traditional landline
You May Need To Take Action
If your home phone still relies on an older landline connection, you may need to move to a digital phone service to keep using your landline number.

Find out how the changes affect you
Landline services across the UK are changing. If you’re affected, you’ll need to make sure you have a suitable alternative in place.
What’s changing?
The technology that has supported traditional UK landlines for decades is being retired and replaced with newer digital phone services that use an internet connection instead.
Most people won’t lose their phone number, but some customers may need to change how their home phone service is provided.
If you’re unsure whether you’re affected, tell us where you’re starting from and we’ll help you understand what, if anything, you need to do.

What should I do next?
Important information during emergencies

What happens during a power cut?
Digital phone services rely on electrical power and internet equipment.
If there’s a power cut, your home phone may not work unless you have a backup power solution.
It’s important to have an alternative way to contact emergency services, such as a charged mobile phone.

Do you use a telecare device or personal alarm?
Some personal alarms, healthcare monitoring devices and security systems may rely on traditional phone connections.
Before making any changes to your phone service, contact your equipment provider to confirm how your device will continue to operate.
I have Quickline broadband but still use a traditional landline
If you already get your broadband from Quickline but your home phone still uses a traditional landline, you can add Quickline Talk+ from £9.99 a month or Talk+ International from £13.99 a month.
With these packages, you can make and receive calls using your Quickline broadband connection instead of the old phone network.
We’ll help make the move simple

One switch. Broadband and home phone sorted.
If your broadband and landline are currently with another provider, now could be a good time to get both ready for the future. Switch your broadband to Quickline and add Talk+ to move your home phone onto a digital service too.
You can usually keep your existing landline number while getting fast, reliable broadband and helpful support from Quickline.
Still in contract? Don’t let that stop you. We’ll reimburse eligible early termination fees when you switch to Quickline.

Give yourself a pat on the back.
If you already use Quickline Talk+, your calls are made through your Quickline broadband connection rather than a traditional copper phone line.
So, there’s nothing you need to change with your Quickline phone service because of the PSTN switch-off.
Nice and easy.
Know someone who still relies on a traditional landline? It might be worth giving them a heads-up too.
Ready to get sorted?
The old landline network is changing, but staying connected doesn’t have to be complicated.
Already have Quickline broadband?
Add Quickline Talk+ from £9.99 a month and get your home phone ready for the change.
Not with Quickline yet?
Switch your broadband and add Talk+ to get your broadband and home phone sorted together.
Still not sure?
That’s absolutely fine. If you’re unsure what type of landline you have, worried about keeping your number or simply want a real person to talk you through it, we’re here to help.
