Fast and reliable broadband is a must for modern businesses and for those operating in rural areas it can be difficult to find the service you need.
Paul switched to Quickline recently in the hope of a faster and more robust service and the result has been “life changing”.
Paul said: “When we first came to Womersley we had virtually no broadband at all. It was typical rural broadband. The best we would get for download would be 2Mb a minute, upload was virtually non-existent.
“All the work I did went out on CDs in the post and we campaigned as a village and as a community to get better broadband and eventually we got fibre to the other end of the village. But we are at the wrong end of the village for the cabinet so we were reliant on copper cables at this end of the village and it was still ridiculously slow.
“The big pain was uploading photography. So, with BT I would sit and send stuff to upload – WeTransfer or Dropbox and it could take two hours, three hours, absolutely ridiculous.
“So when Quickline came along with their offer it seemed an absolute no brainer. It was 200Mb download and 100Mb upload. And it’s the upload that for me is critical.
“I uploaded some work yesterday which used to take an hour and 20 minutes, an hour and a half and it went in about two and a half minutes, so the difference is extraordinary.
“My experience has been 100%. Having waited so long to get broadband in this community, for anyone who works from home, it is life changing.”
