Quickline recently installed full fibre broadband at the venue and in doing so is enabling the business to prosper, with plans to enhance the visitor experience thanks to the new technology now available.
Oliver Bowerman, director of Stump Cross caverns, said: “We’re in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, about an hour from Leeds, in the absolute stocks, in the middle of nowhere.
“I’ve been here since I was five years old. As a kid I think we were probably the last people in the country to have dial up internet.
“As a business we couldn’t do any streaming, our visitors found it really difficult to go on our website when they were on site, to even do basic social media scrolling or upload photos; just the things that people take for granted when they are in a town or city.
“But because we are so isolated we just didn’t have any of that whatsoever.
“Not having internet is like not having power in this day and age, you need it for absolutely everything in your business.
“When Quickline came out they got us set up really quickly. They came late in the afternoon as we were shutting down and we were running smoothly the entire time we were being installed.
“Quickline coming in and installing the full fibre broadband has made our lives a lot easier. It just enables us to everything we want to do and there’s no barrier now, whereas before we struggled with just the basics, never mind all the exciting things we want to do in the future.”
