This workshop is a 2 hour session during the half term designed to give 8-12 year olds the chance to discover, create and connect with AI, VR and Robots. During this session they will be able to take part in The Sweet Shop Challenge, where they can design and create their own chocolate bar, test out VR headsets and also interact with robots.
Quickline has partnered with Reel Creative – to deliver these workshops. Reel Creative are a dynamic digital training charity who deliver interactive and engaging Workshops and Tech Schools to a wide range of audiences.
Our workshop is designed for children aged from 8 to 12 year old. We offer age-appropriate activities that help children explore, learn, and have fun using AI, VR and robots!
We recommend that your child brings comfortable clothing suitable for hands-on activities. If your child has any specific materials (such as a favorite art tool or notebook) they’d like to bring, they’re welcome to. All other materials will be provided.
We provide snacks and drinks, but please feel free to pack any special snacks or meals your child might need. If your child has food allergies, please let us know in advance so we can make necessary accommodations.
Registration can be completed online through our website. Simply fill out the registration form above and reserve the spot for your child.
Unfortunately not. There are limited spaces for the workshop so you must register your child in order to attend. If you haven’t registered you will not be able to attend.
The session starts at 1pm so please drop your child off in time for the relevant session start time. The session will finish at 3pm, so please arrange pick up for the relevant time.
Parents are welcome to stay if they would like, but it’s not required. Our facilitators are experienced in guiding children through activities independently and are DBS checked. If you prefer to stay and observe, we’ll have a designated area for parents.
We prioritise the safety and well-being of all children. All staff delivering the workshop are DBS trained and we have a low child-to-teacher ratio to ensure personal attention. We also follow all local guidelines related to health and safety protocols.
Yes! At the end of the workshop, your child will take home a personalised chocolate bar and potentially other items showcasing their learning and creativity.
Yes. Filming and photography may take place at these workshops. This has been organised by Quickline. By attending the event you consent to your child being filmed or photographed. If you would prefer them not to be photographed or videoed please let us know on arrival so we can ensure this doesn’t happen.

You can only register if you live at a current Patrington address. Only 1 registration per address – multiple entries from the same address will be void. Registering entitles entry to a Tech Explorers workshop at Patrington Village Hall, Church Lane, HU12 0RJ. Registrations are only valid until 10th April 2026.
