This step highlights our commitment to nurturing the next generation of professionals and skilled workers through structured training and development programmes.
The 5% Club encourages businesses to allocate at least 5% of their workforce to formal apprenticeship or graduate development schemes. This movement aims to create a shared prosperity across the UK by driving ‘earn and learn’ skills training opportunities.
Signing up to The 5% Club sees Quickline join a distinguished group of organisations committed to providing quality training opportunities. The initiative benefits individuals by bridging the gap between education and employment while strengthening businesses through the creation of a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
Over the next five years, Quickline aims to reach the 5% target set out in the charter, beginning with the arrival of our first cohort of apprentices in 2024. Further plans include the integration of graduates and participants in paid year-long industry placements.
Wendy Hiley, HR and Talent Acquisition business partner at Quickline, said: “We understand the importance of investing in the future talent of our industry and beyond. Quickline is a growing business and we have ambitious plans which involves the development of our team. By offering structured apprenticeships and graduate programmes, we aim to foster a culture of learning and growth within our organisation, while positively impacting the communities we serve.”
Julie Holmes, Social Values Manager at Quickline, said: “Membership of The 5% Club serves as a platform for companies like Quickline to showcase our commitment to talent development and drive positive change in workforce development strategies.
“Our participation illustrates the proactive approach we’re taking to corporate social responsibility and our dedication to sustainable workforce development practices.”
Speaking on behalf of The 5% Club, Gill Cronin, Director of Operations, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Quickline into membership.
