Following the success of our campaign last year, we’ve launched our Season of Giving again for 2024 and have been speaking to residents and organisations about how we can support their festive plans in the community.
We want to deliver more festive cheer this year and are offering support including helping to fund events, sending members of our team to attend and help run events, and rewarding groups that make a difference where they live.
The campaign is just another way for us to support the isolated, rural communities we serve.
Julian Chalk, our Head of Engagement and Enablement, said: “At Quickline we don’t just want to connect rural communities to fast and reliable broadband, we are also passionate about making an impact and helping them to grow and develop in any other way we can too.
“Christmas is a time when people come together and we want to support that by whatever means possible. That’s why we’re working with residents, groups and businesses to get in touch, so we can give something back at this special time of the year.”
We’re on a mission to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural locations, and have already thrown our support behind a number of festive events and activities.
This includes:
- Gifting hot chocolate and treats to people attending a charity Christmas Light Switch On in Keelby, Lincolnshire.
- Supporting Willingham by Stow’s Magic of Christmas Music event.
- Sponsoring the Candy Cane Station at the Lindsey Lodge Hospice Pyjama Express family fun run in North Lincolnshire.
Helen Milner, one of our Community Executives, will be part of the team delivering support across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire over the festive period.
She said: “We stepped in to help some incredible events last year and we’d love to be able to do even more this time around.
“Our Season of Giving campaign is all about Quickline giving something back to the communities we serve and spreading a bit of Christmas cheer along the way.
“So, if you’re involved in a festive activity and want some help, get in touch and we’ll see what we can do to help.”
