At last week’s UK Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA) Awards, Award winning broadband provider Quickline was honoured with the Best Hybrid Fibre and Wireless Project award.
This accolade highlights excellence in the use of both fibre and wireless technologies to deliver broadband connectivity in a successful or innovative manner.
This award was highly competitive, with strong nominations from four providers. The judges praised Quickline for our ability to tackle on of the most challenging geographies in the UK, using a blend of fibre and standalone 5G technology to make a successful impact on the rural community.
On presenting the award, the judges commented: “Quickline used a mixture of fibre and Standalone 5G into one of the most challenging geographies in the country – namely Arkengarthdale, which is also an SSSI and National Park. Speed of build, environmental sensitivity, and a commitment to bridging the digital divide, this organisation a deserving recipient of this award.”
