An award-winning traditional fish and chip shop in Auckley, South Yorkshire is serving more customers than ever. Upgraded full fibre broadband allowed expansion into online delivery platforms.
David Nicolaou, owner of Auckley Friery, recently switched to Quickline’s full fibre broadband, enabling the business to run multiple online ordering platforms including Just Eat and Uber Eats from the shop for the first time.
The faster and more reliable connection has helped the takeaway manage a surge in digital orders, process payments more efficiently and keep up with demand during busy evening periods.
“Upgrading our broadband has made a big difference to the business. It has allowed us to put more services on. We have an online app so you can order for click and collect. We could never have done Uber Eats and Just Eat with the old system because it just got swamped,” said David.
With the new fibre connection in place, the Auckley takeaway is now able to manage orders across multiple platforms simultaneously while maintaining a smooth in-store service.
How upgraded full fibre broadband made a noticeable difference
“Online orders are a big part of our business now,” added David. “Having fast, reliable broadband means we can keep up with demand and reach customers who might never have found us otherwise.”
Quickline continues to expand its full fibre network across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, helping connect homes and businesses in areas that have previously struggled with slow or unreliable internet speeds.
