We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Two Ridings Community Foundation to drive digital inclusion and community development across North and East Yorkshire.

Through our partnership, the QFUTURES Community Fund has been launched. The fund is set to empower communities and local organisations to create engaging digital projects for marginalised and under-represented groups initially in York, Pocklington and Selby.

In its first year, the QFUTURES Community Fund focuses on projects that address specific digital needs and enhance digital skills, including coding clubs, STEM activities, digital literacy training, and more. The fund will support community-based initiatives that promote inclusive digital opportunities and offer tangible benefits for local people.

Looking ahead, the fund will expand in its second and third years, broadening its reach across the whole of North Yorkshire and the East Riding, focusing further on employability and building stronger, more resilient communities.

“The QFUTURES Community Fund is about empowering local communities to embrace the digital age and create long-term, meaningful change. We’re proud to partner with Two Ridings Community Foundation to deliver this exciting initiative,” said Sarah Lilleyman-Hall, Social Values Manager at Quickline.

“By providing multi-year grants, we’re not just offering short-term solutions – we’re enabling organisations to have a sustained impact, building digital skills that will last a lifetime across the whole region.”

The multi-year structure of the fund means organisations can secure continued support over two to three years, allowing for projects to grow and make a deeper, more lasting impact as to empower communities they serve.

Celia McKeon, CEO of Two Ridings Community Foundation, added: “This partnership with Quickline offers a significant opportunity to enhance digital inclusion. Through the QFUTURES Community Fund, we are excited to support projects that empower individuals and foster a more connected region.”

The QFUTURES Community Fund will help bridge the digital divide by enabling access to critical digital training and resources, empowering people – particularly those from under-represented backgrounds – to take full advantage of the digital world.
