Understanding Cybercrime and How to Stay Safe Online
Learn how to protect yourself from common online threats and recognise the signs of potential fraud or cybercrime.
How to Spot Fake News and Misleading Content
Develop the skills to critically assess online information, recognise misinformation, and make informed decisions about the content you encounter.
Unfortunately, the event will no longer take place as planned and we are no longer taking new registrations. The event will be rearranged for another time so stay peeled for a future update.
This workshop is a 2 hour session designed to give adults insight into the everchanging digital landscape. During the session we will guide you through topics such as how to stay safe online, understanding cybercrime and how to spot misleading information.
This workshop is delivered by trained members of the Quickline team who have been delivering such workshops for years and have worked with all age ranges to teach online safety.
Our workshop is designed for everyone but mostly adult who want to learn more about the dangers of the internet and how to stay safe online.
For the workshop we simply need you. The workshop may involve some collaborative work but this will be mostly conversational. If you do have any questions about your device or need support with any digital skills do feel free to bring your device to the sessions as we can help at the end.
At the session we do intend to provide a sweet treat and a cold drink but please feel free to bring any snacks or drinks you might like. If you do have any food allergies, please make the staff aware on the day.
Registration can be completed online through our website. Simply fill out the registration form and reserve your spot.
There are limited spaces for the workshop so to avoid disappointed it is best to book your space.
The session starts at 10am so please arrive promptly in time for the start. The workshop will finish at 12pm.
Yes. Filming and photography may take place at these workshops. This has been organised by Quickline. By attending the event you consent to being filmed or photographed. If you would prefer not to be photographed or video’d please let us know on arrival so we can ensure this doesn’t happen.

You can only register if you live at a current Filey address. Only 1 registration per address – multiple entries from the same address will be void. Registering entitles entry to a Digital Skills workshop at The Evron Centre. Registrations are only valid until TBC.
