This Volunteers Week 2025, we’re proud to reflect on a year of giving back, coming together, and supporting the communities we serve across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Over the past year, whilst we’ve continued to rollout fast and reliable connectivity across the region, many of our colleagues have also given their time and energy to causes that matter – both to them personally and to the communities we’re proud to serve:
- 84 schools engaged through our outreach
- 42 STEM and digital skills workshops delivered
- 23 volunteering sessions powered by our passionate Quickline colleagues
From the classroom to the coast, our teams have been lending a hand to initiatives that matter to us and the communities we serve.
We’ve cleared litter off Scarborough and Filey beaches, spread festive cheer across the whole of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire through Mission Christmas and helped residents in Hunmanby gain digital confidence during Get Online Week.
We’ve also taken our Digital Skills Programme into local schools, helping to inspire the next generation of digital thinkers and ensuring children in rural places aren’t left behind in our ever-evolving digital world.
Our STEM workshops with hands-on demonstrations and led by our engineers, have brought broadband technology to life for young people – giving them a glimpse of what’s possible and sparking curiosity for the future.
Connor Moore, one of our Social Values Executive leading in the delivery of these initiatives across the region, said: “It’s been a real privilege to be part of this work. We’ve learned so much from the schools, charities and community groups we’ve partnered with.
“At Quickline, we know we have more to offer than just broadband, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see how our volunteering and outreach can help strengthen local communities.”
