As part of our ongoing social value commitments, the free virtual work experience portal was launched earlier this year to schools, youth hubs, and community organisations across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Developed in partnership with Engaging Education, the online resource is available free of charge and is being used by organisations across the region.
Doncaster Youth Hub, Sheffield Wednesday Youth Hub, Doncaster Housing for Young People and The Growth Company Sheffield are among the providers to have accessed the portal, helping young people across the region access meaningful career experiences.
The portal immerses users in five key departments at Quickline; Marketing, Human Resources, Engineering, Data and IT. Each business area presents a series of practical challenges and real-world tasks designed to simulate the day-to-day responsibilities of professionals in that field.
Whether creating a mock marketing campaign, analysing data trends, solving an IT issue, or planning part of a network rollout, the experience is both interactive and informative. With videos, quizzes, and scenario-based tasks, learners gain practical exposure to modern workplace challenges in a flexible, self-paced format.
The portal is a great addition to a CV and a smart way to prepare for future employment or further study. Individuals who complete each department’s challenge and accompanying multiple-choice quiz earn a badge and can receive a downloadable certificate, providing evidence of their achievements.
Lee Hugill, Employability Co-ordinator at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, said: “We had the pleasure of welcoming Elisabeth Kamaris from Quickline to deliver an engaging presentation on virtual workshops. Her insights and enthusiasm have inspired us all and provided valuable knowledge and experience for our Sheffield Wednesday Community Youth hub customers.”
Elisabeth Kamaris, Social Values Executive at Quickline, said: “By offering this high-quality virtual work experience programme at no cost, Quickline is helping to bridge the gap between education and employment. The initiative supports young people in developing confidence, career clarity, and job-ready skills, all critical steps in their journey toward the world of work.
“At Quickline, we believe in supporting the next generation and this portal is one way we’re turning that commitment into action. The portal is more than a programme, it’s a launchpad for future careers.”
