Quickline handed out 400 free ice creams to residents in rural Lincolnshire to celebrate our freeze on contract costs.
We’ve frozen our prices for all 24-month contracts so, with the region enjoying some sunshine over the Easter holiday, we celebrated by giving out free ice creams.
We took to the streets in an ice cream van in the Isle of Axholme in North Lincolnshire, visiting Belton and Westwoodside.
Our giveaway also marked one year of us delivering fast, reliable broadband in both villages.
James McAra from our Marketing Department, was one of the team handing out the sweet treats, said: “Unlike other providers, we’re committed to keeping our prices the same for our customers for the full duration of their contract.
“It means Quickline customers don’t need to worry about any nasty surprises and manage their bills more easily.
“We thought it would be a really nice way to celebrate this by handing out free ice creams, especially with a bit of sun shining.
“We handed out 400 over the two days, and it was really busy. Residents seemed to appreciate the gesture and were surprised when they found out the ice creams were free!”
Sisters Gracie and Eve Nicholson stopped off at our ice cream van whilst walking their dog, Roxy.
Gracie said: “It’s very generous of Quickline. It’s really nice – and the ice creams taste good! It’s a lovely surprise.
“It’s great that Quickline are freezing prices for their customers. It must be annoying to be with a provider that puts prices up mid-contact because it’s not good for the customer.”
“In today’s society, people are looking for price fixes because it gives them some security, and it’s definitely something I consider when taking out contracts.
“I think it’s really important, especially with inflation going up.”
Fellow resident Behnam Begvand said: “It’s a nice treat to be given a free ice cream, especially on a sunny day.
“It’s good that Quickline have frozen their prices, I appreciate it – and they provide a really good service.
“It’s nice to know that when you sign up, that’s the price you pay for the length of your contract, because that isn’t the case with other providers.”
