That’s why we recently hosted a beach clean-up in the beautiful North Yorkshire coastal town of Filey, bringing together 15 passionate Quickline employees including our engineers, technical support, and customer experience teams for a cleaner coast.
This initiative was part of our broader sustainability focus under our North Yorkshire contract. Employees used one of their designated volunteering days we provide at Quickline to take part in a cleaner coast, helping to collect and remove litter from the beach. The event was made possible in collaboration with North Yorkshire Council, who kindly supported us by collecting the gathered waste to dispose of.
The benefits of a cleaner coast went beyond just environmental impact. It gave our team members a meaningful opportunity to connect, collaborate, and engage outside the office, fostering a strong sense of community and shared purpose.
Great fun was had by all, Connor Moore, Social Values Executive at Quickline said: “I am in a very privileged position, my love for the outdoors and making a difference is part of my everyday job. So, to get the opportunity to collect litter on Filey beach with many Quickline colleagues is an absolute pleasure.”
We’re sure this will not be the last time Quickline hit the local beaches with litter pickers, we are always looking for ways to give back to the communities we serve while strengthening our sustainability efforts.
