Quickline connects Calderdale as progress continues in the rollout of fast and reliable full fibre across the region.
Among the communities able to connect to the network include Southowram, Clifton and Holywell Green.
Almost 3,000 homes and businesses across these three villages can now place an order for Quickline’s full fibre service.
Hundreds more addresses around Calderdale are set to receive connectivity as Quickline continues with their rollout of Project Gigabit – the UK government-funded programme to enable hard-to-reach communities to access lightning-fast gigabit-capable broadband. It targets homes and businesses that are not included in any commercial plans of broadband suppliers, reaching parts of the UK that might otherwise miss out on upgrades to next-generation speeds.
The Calderdale district forms part of a major government contract awarded to Quickline last year, covering West Yorkshire and the York area with thousands of homes and businesses benefiting through the subsidised rollout and the associated commercial rollout by Quickline.
