Quickline’s fast and reliable full fibre broadband is now live and delivering high-speed connectivity to rural communities along the banks of the River Ouse.
Homes and businesses in the villages of Swinefleet, Reedness and Whitgift, can now access gigabit-capable broadband with service available to order from Quickline today.
Together, these hamlets represent just over 550 addresses – a small number that perfectly illustrates Quickline’s mission to connect hard-to-reach outlying areas previously overlooked by internet providers.
Located to the east of Goole, the villages form part of the Project Gigabit contract awarded to Quickline in 2024, with more than 75% of the addresses reached, funded through the programme.
Project Gigabit is a government initiative designed to enable hard-to-reach communities to access lightning-fast gigabit-capable broadband. It targets homes and businesses that are not included in any commercial plans of broadband suppliers, reaching parts of the UK that might otherwise miss out on upgrades to next-generation speeds.
Julian Chalk, Head of Network Engagement and Enablement at Quickline, said: “Reliable broadband is essential for everyday life, and we’re committed to helping our customers thrive in the digital age. These communities are small and remote, which is exactly why they’ve previously missed out on full fibre connectivity. We’re proud to be delivering the Project Gigabit to change that.”
Homes and businesses in Swinefleet, Reedness and Whitgift can book their installation now and start enjoying the benefits of Quickline’s lightning-fast broadband today.
