New partnership launches QFutures fund to boost digital skills in Leeds and Bradford

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Leeds Community Foundation which will benefit hundreds of children, young people and families across the region.

Partnership launches fund to boost digital skills

Leeds Community Foundation distributes vital grants and gives trusted advice to community organisations across Leeds and Bradford to influence positive change. Together, we are launching the QFutures Community Fund, specifically designed to support community organisations that work with children, young people, and families to develop digital skills and enhance employability.

As digital skills become increasingly essential for accessing employment and education, the QFutures Community Fund aims to bridge the gap for those facing barriers to digital skills. This targeted fund will provide grants to community-driven projects that equip local residents, especially young people and families with the tools they need to succeed.

The QFutures Community Fund will provide grants for a range of initiatives, including recognised training for digital development, coding clubs, creative digital activities, STEM activities for young people, activities that engage parents, carers, and families using online tools and services e.g. employment websites, digital support sessions for families and children/young people and equipment costs for your project.

Tamara Butterworth, Quickline’s Social Value Lead in West Yorkshire, said: “At Quickline, we believe in the power of connectivity, not just through broadband, but by strengthening the communities we serve. Our partnership with Leeds Community Foundation is an investment in people, helping to break down barriers to employment and open doors to new opportunities. Together, we’re creating real, lasting change by supporting individuals and communities to build brighter, more secure futures.”

Steph Taylor, Chief Executive at Leeds Community Foundation, commented: “We are excited to partner with Quickline on the QFutures Community Fund, which aligns with our vision of a fairer Leeds and Bradford for everyone. This multi-year initiative will help bridge the digital divide, offering young people, families, and communities access to the digital skills and resources needed to thrive. By empowering individuals and creating new opportunities, we are taking important steps towards building a fairer Leeds and Bradford for everyone.”
