We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Woodland Trust, which will run to the end of 2029.
The four-year collaboration will see Quickline support the Trust to remove diseased ash, replant resilient species, and improve habitats for wildlife at key sites across North Yorkshire including Nidd Gorge, Preston Spring Wood and Robson Spring Wood.
It will support their work tackling ash dieback in some of northern England’s most vulnerable woodlands, where tree cover is among the lowest in the country.

The partnership is part of Quickline’s social value commitment under Project Gigabit – the government-funded programme delivering gigabit-capable broadband to rural and hard-to-reach communities.
Hear from Woodland Trust and Quickline
Sam Tarrant, Head of Partnerships, the Woodland Trust, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Quickline to the Woodland Trust and are looking forward to working together over the next four years to strengthen nature’s recovery and build healthier, better-connected places for everyone.
“Their support comes at a critical time, as we work to restore ash woodlands that have been devastated by ash dieback. This funding will help us protect the character of these special landscapes and support the long-term recovery of the wildlife that depends on them.”
Debbie McMillan, Sustainability Lead at Quickline, said: “Our work to deliver fast, reliable connectivity aligns with The Woodland Trust and our shared commitment to thriving landscapes and resilient communities – where people and nature can flourish.”
She added: “Connecting rural communities is at the heart of what we do, but we know that building the infrastructure of the future must go hand in hand with protecting the environment those communities depend on.
“Partnering with the Woodland Trust allows us to play a meaningful role in supporting nature recovery, helping protect and restore some of the UK’s most precious woodlands for generations to come. The Woodland Trust does incredible work, and we’re proud to support their efforts to tackle ash dieback and strengthen resilient landscapes across northern England.
“This partnership reflects our long-term commitment to putting customers and communities at the centre of our decisions – delivering fast, reliable broadband in a way that supports a healthier, more sustainable future for the places we serve.”
