More than 40,000 homes and businesses across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire can now access reliable, faster broadband as Quickline expands its rapid rollout through the Government’s Project Gigabit programme.
Communities that have historically struggled with slow or unreliable connections, from rural villages in North and East Yorkshire to market towns in Lincolnshire and communities across South and West Yorkshire, are now able to switch to gigabit-capable broadband for the first time.
During 2025 alone, we’ve connected 36,650 premises across our four Project Gigabit contracts. That momentum has continued into 2026, with more than 40,000 funded homes and businesses now live and able to order.
Across our combined government-backed and commercial rollout, Quickline’s full fibre network is now available to more than 200,000 addresses across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Recently connected communities include villages and rural areas across:
- North Yorkshire – where delivery is ahead of target and latest homes have been reached in Cayton Bay and Thornton Le Clay.
- West Yorkshire – where more than half of the contracted premises are already connected including addresses in Luddenden and Luddenden Foot outside Halifax.
- South Yorkshire – where rollout continues at pace with recent connections in the villages of Hoylandswaine and Millhouse Green, near Penistone.
- East Riding of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire – where thousands of rural properties can now upgrade including most recently in Gosberton and Spilsby in Lincolnshire and Leconfield and Hutton Cranswick in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
For many households, this marks the first time they have had access to full fibre broadband capable of supporting home working, streaming, online learning and digital services without interruption.
We’re also reinforcing our commitment to transparency for customers.

Unlike many major providers, Quickline does not apply mid-contract price increases, giving households certainty over what they will pay for the duration of their agreement.
As part of our rollout, we’re also connecting community facilities like village halls, helping rural groups, clubs and organisations benefit from reliable broadband.
From enabling hybrid community meetings to supporting local events and digital inclusion sessions, the connections are helping ensure that improved infrastructure benefits entire communities – not just individual households.
And our rollout is delivered by local engineers who live and work in the regions they serve.
We currently hold a 4.8 Trustpilot rating, reflecting customer feedback that consistently highlights helpful engineers, clear communication and responsive support.
The expansion forms part of our Proper Helpful commitment – putting service, transparency and community impact at the heart of its growth.
Dan Hague, Project Gigabit Delivery Director at Quickline, said: “More than 40,000 homes and businesses across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire can now access fast, reliable broadband that simply wasn’t available to them before.
“For many rural communities, this is transformational – whether that’s enabling home working, supporting local businesses or helping families stay connected.
“We’re proud to deliver this at pace, but we’re equally proud of how we deliver it, with local engineers, clear pricing with no mid-contract rises, and a genuine commitment to being Proper Helpful in every community we serve.”
Confirmed Project Gigabit progress includes:
- South Yorkshire: 7,150 premises connected (54% of contract)
- North Yorkshire: 6,660 premises connected (20% of contract, ahead of target)
- West Yorkshire: 13,610 premises connected (52% of contract)
- East Riding of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire: 13,270 premises connected (28% of contract)
Project Gigabit is the UK Government’s programme to deliver gigabit-capable broadband to homes and businesses that would otherwise be left behind by commercial rollout.
Quickline will continue its rollout throughout 2026, bringing fast, reliable connectivity to thousands more rural homes and businesses across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
